Gender and Power (GAP) analysis Strengthening the Maternal and Neonatal Health System in Rangpur, Bangladesh (Jononi) Project

Duration: 4 months (November, 2023 -February 2024) Objective: The overall purpose of the GAP analysis study is to identify, measure, and analyze social and gender equality dimensions and barriers related to 1) access to health facilities and services, 2) use of health services; and 3) empowering project participants (considering issues such as child marriage, unpaid care work burden, gender-based violence (GBV), nutrition and contraception) associated with set project’s outcomes, and also explore the enablers of gender equality for women and girls in the household and community and understand the effectiveness of the roles are being played different committees such as CMPC, NNPC etc. Location: Rangpur and Lalmonirhat districts, Bangladesh | Mixed method: Quantitative & Qualitative survey (Sample size: 600 & 74) and Qualitative methods- KII, IDI & FGDs.
