Dr. Israt Rayhan earned his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Economics and Management, University of Hanover, Germany.
Previously, he was the Director of the Institute of Statistical Research and Training (ISRT), University of Dhaka (2016-2020).
Dr. Israt has 20 years of experience in social research. He has published several research articles in top-tier academic journals including in the Journal of Economic Structures, Journal of Education and Practice, Global Journal of Quantitative Science, Asia-Pacific Journal of Public Health, Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, Natural Hazards, Journal of Flood Risk Management, and Journal of Identity and Migration Studies.
His research interests are Poverty, Risk, Vulnerability, Sampling Design and Survey, Econometrics and Statistical Modeling.
